06c. Electrical Generator: Bio Powered

Modern bio power plants are based upon an old power production technology known as Prairie generators. Unlike a combustion engine, which burns it’s fuel, a bio generator produces electricity and natural gas from plant decomposition. As there is no burning, the process is safer and far more efficient as all the energy that is typically wasted in radiant heat (bleed off) actually becomes part of the usable electrical yield. Theoretically, a single generator can produce enough electricity to power a standard 1500 square foot house for a full day on 1 pound of grass clippings.

Also these things are dead easy to build. With proper instruction, and under $200 in material costs, a novice can build a bio generator in under 4 hours. This makes it a great primary system for off the grid settlements in or near forests where solar is often obscured by trees.

Complete instructions, videos and component are available on the button below. lists on how to build this system are available here.
