Crisis Focus
Too many people are focused on crisis situations. They spend great effort putting out fires, feeding the hungry, and rescuing a few animals from disaster. Dealing with immediate crisis is a worthy effort; Yet, little attention is spent on the underlying causes of poverty, hunger or ecological change.
The logic of a Preventative approach
Think of any major world issue. Imagine what would happen if a few visionaries went back in time and started working on that problem 10 years ago. Do you think it would be a problem today? You cannot be crippled by the spear that was avoided yesterday.
We do not have the power to move back in time, but we can affect the next 10 years. Grass Root organizations have already identified many future problems and have plans for innovative solutions. But as it is not an immediate concern; they gain very little support.

What kind of world do you wish to leave for the next generation? Do you want your children to inherit the debt of ignorance? Or do you believe, as I do, that today is the only time we have to build a better tomorrow.
